Ricardo Menéndez Salmón (Gijón, 1971) es un escritor español. Obtuvo el Premio de la Crítica de Asturias de Narrativa por el libro *Los caballos azules,* el Premio Juan Rulfo del año 2003 otorgado por Radio Francia Internacional y el Instituto de México en París por el relato *Los caballos azules,* y el Casino de Mieres de Novela por *La noche feroz.* Su novela *La ofensa* recibió el Premio Qwerty de Barcelona Televisión a la revelación del año y el Premio Librería Sintagma a la mejor novela de 2007.

Ricardo Menéndez Salmón (Gijón, 1971) is a Spanish writer. He won the Asturias Critics' Prize for Narrative for his book *Los caballos azules* (The Blue Horses), the 2003 Juan Rulfo Prize awarded by Radio France Internationale and the Mexican Institute in Paris for the short story *Los caballos azules*, and the Casino de Mieres Novel Prize for *La noche feroz* (The Ferocious Night). His novel *La ofensa* (The Offense) received the Barcelona Television Qwerty Prize for Revelation of the Year and the Sintagma Bookstore Prize for Best Novel of 2007.
