Hunting the Grisly and Other Sketches

Description

Theodore Roosevelt brilliantly captures the thrill of the chase as he recounts his North-American hunting adventures in Hunting the Grisly and Other Sketches. Told in campfire-story spirit, it is a celebration of the great outdoors. Roosevelt may have seemed an unlikely candidate for hunting when he was a child suffering from asthma in New York City, but through a strict exercise regimen he overcame his initial shortcomings to become the reputed sportsman who established America’s greatest game preserves.Read all the great works by Theodore Roosevelt:Presidential Addresses and State PapersAmerican IdealsHistory as LiteratureOliver CromwellWinning of the WestThe Rough RidersFear God and Take Your Own PartHunting the Grisly and Other SketchesHunting Trip of a RanchmanThe Naval War of 1812The Roosevelt BookThe Strenuous LifeThe Wilderness HunterAlso read his biography Theodore Roosevelt by William Roscoe ThayerIf you enjoy Theodore Roosevelt’s hunting books, you may also enjoy The Happy Hunting Grounds by his son Kermit Roosevelt
