Social security longitudinal earnings public use file, 1937-1975

Description

The data file was developed for use as part of the Social Security Administration Exact Match Study (ICPSR 7616) . The data were collected in 1976, and therefore offer an updated version of those data collected for the Current Population Survey, 1973, and the Exact Match File provided by the Internal Revenue Service/Social Security Administration. Records are provided for each of the 90,174 CPS persons 14 years of age or older for whom ICPSR earnings extracts were included in the CPS-IRS-SSA.
