French election study, 1968
Description
This survey examined the reaction of the respondent to the political climate of the nation in 1968. The questionnaire dealt extensively with the worker strikes and the student rebellions of May and June 1968. The study also investigated the respondent's satisfaction with De Gaulle's policies as well as opinions concerning the value of the Common Market and the establishment of a united Europe and a European army. Questions about political party preference and the respondent's vote in 1967 and in 1968 were also asked. A national representative sample of 1,905 French respondents was used for this study. The interviews were obtained by L'Institut Francais d'Opinion Publique during the week following the second round of voting in the 1968 election.
