This is the second in an annual series of surveys designed to chart movements in a wide range of social attitudes in Britain. Topics which receive attention include: (1) media, politics, and international affairs, (2) economic expectations and evaluations and labor market participation, (3) social expenditure, welfare state issues, the National Health Service, education, (4) social class, religion, racial prejudice, gender issues, public and private morality and (5) classification information including household composition, education level, tenure, occupation and income.
