This file contains national-level data concerning female/male differentials over a range of demographic and socioeconomic variables for each of 120 developing countries. Breakdowns by age and urban/rural residence are frequently included. Data constitute the most recently available information at the time of collection. The 120 countries included in the file are all Agency for International Development recipients in Asia/Oceania (19), Latin America/Caribbean (21), Subsaharan Africa (41), Near East/North Africa (15), and Northern America (2), Europe (21), and the Soviet Union (1).
