The Higher Education General Information Survey (HEGIS) XVII package consists of several sub-surveys one of which is entitled 'Salaries, Tenure, and Fringe Benefits of Full-Time Instructional Faculty, 1982-1983'. The working universe consists of 3,311 institutions of higher education and their branches located in the United States and its outlying areas. The file contains final edited data for 2,985 institutions.
