This file contains national-level data concerning female/male differentials over a range of demographic and socioeconomic variables for each of sixty-nine developing countries. Breakdowns by age and urban/rural residence are frequently included. Data constitute the most recently available information at the time of collection (1979-1980). The sixty-nine countries included in the file are all Agency for International Development recipients in Asia (9), Latin America (14), Africa (36) and the Near East (10).
