This book includes a collection of stories which take place between 1882 and the mid 1970's around the theme of yearning for and returning to Zion. each story is preceded by an introductory Paragraph of background information which explains the context in which the story takes place. includes stories about chalutzim, illegal immigration, aliya of various edot and the desire of russian jewry to emigrate to israel despite the ussr's anti-zionist propaganda.
