Apvlegio volgare

Description

First Italian translation of Apuleius' Asinus aureus, the bawdy, ribald--even obscene--story of the Golden Ass, by Mattheo Maria Boiardo, a sophisticated and refined man of letters, author of one of the great epic poems in Italian, and a successful court poet.
