This study of the Second Punic War (218-201 BC) brings together the latest scholarly findings, in particular the results of Proyecto Baecula. Proyecto Baecula, the project of the University of Jaen, is intended to study battles and events that took place in the upper reaches of the Guadalquivir River during the Second Punic War. It can be considered a model for the analysis of ancient battlefields.
