Three New England painters

"This exhibition follows in the footsteps of one that the Danforth Museum did in 1987 called "Lifting the Veil: Women Artists of New England, 1890-1925." That exhibition and ones done by others have pointed up the fact that many professional quality artists have been forgotten or submerged by time. It is our hope that this showing will spur interest int he accomplishments of three of the women who contributed to the lively cultural life that charactered the greater Boston area in the early years of this century." -- Page [1].
