Collection consists of printed material from the Concord School of Philosophy (also known as the Concord Summer School of Philosophy), from its founding by A. Bronson Alcott and associates in 1879 to its 9th session in 1887. Lists of lectures, faculty, recommended reading, and practical advice on attending the School are included. Also included are programs for Amos Bronson Alcott's memorial service at the Concord School of Philosophy (16 June 1888), a "Commemoration of Emerson" held at the Town Hall, Concord (22 July 1882), and "The Alcott centennial, the hundredth birthday of A. Bronson Alcott, held at Second Church, Copley Square, Boston (29 November 1899).
