Description

Wealthy Elisha Eaker joins the Navy in 1861 to avoid an unwanted marriage and is assigned to the U.S.S. Owanee. Ker Claiborne, the ship's executive officer, is struggling with the choice between the Navy and Virginia. Their ship is then ordered to relieve Fort Sumter.
