La villa romana di Cottanello

Description

"The volume proposes a synthesis of the data acquired thanks to the archaeological investigations carried out at the Roman villa of Cottanello in 2010 from the Sapienza Universita of Rome and from 2013 continued by the Institute of Studies on the Ancient Mediterranean (ISMA) of the National Research Council in collaboration with the University itself, in a broader perspective. The study of the villa of Cottanello and its territory has been addressed, in fact, also through scientific surveys (topographic surveys, geophysical surveys, study of the geology of the territory, motivated by the presence of important quarries connected with the villa) and archaeometric analysis of the finds of excavation." --Translated from back cover
