Description

The contributions in this volume analyze the fundamental structural and functional changes of the sanctuary, dissolved in the early 5th century A.D., into an early Christian settlement, which included a Christian basilica and a fortified stronghold. The agricultural character of the settlement can be seen in the excavated implements presented in full in the volume. The more than 300 graves with their grave goods give far-reaching information about the expansion and development of the settlement until its abandonment in the early 7th century.
