A detailed description of the Spanish region of Andalusia prior to the expulsion of the Jews in 1492. Pp. 157-168 analyze the situation of the Conversos and of the Jews in the region, recalling the persecution of the former through the "limpieza de sangre" statutes and Inquisitorial trials for Judaizing, as well as of the latter through partial expulsions (e.g. from Sevilla and Córdoba, 1484).
