George stopped to drop the letters into the postbox on the corner. Then he sat for a while and thought about the knife in his pocket, but he didn't reach in and take it out. He could hardly believe he had taken it. He could have borrowed it if he had asked. He should have asked. Why hadn't he? Suggested level: primary.
