Description

Alzheimer Disease represents an important area of research in neurobiology, cell biology, developmental biology and pathology. Understanding the nature of the changes that occur in neurons as the disease progresses accumulation of amyloid beta and neurofibrillary tangles is obviously important as we try to develop therapeutic approaches. Moreover, the normal physiological roles of proteins such as APP and tau, whose processing appears to be altered in Alzheimer, is also an intense area of research.
