This revision, compiled by Assemblyman Samuel Jones and Speaker of the Assembly Richard Varick, contains the State constitution of 1777, a chronological list of general statutes passed by the State Legislature, and an appendix containing the acts of the Colony which "are most necessary to be known." This compilation was authorized by Chapter 35 of the Laws of 1786.
